The Christmas season can be one of the best times of year. It is the time for sharing and giving, spending time with loved ones, and making memories. There is something about Christmas cheer that makes me feel like a little kid again. What does this have to do with health and fitness you may ask? Well, how you feel mentally is extremely important for living a healthy life successfully: happiness is important for your health. Besides, the holiday season only comes once a year, and I believe that we need a little extra holiday cheer this year. So, let us reflect on the little things that bring us comfort and joy for this holiday season.

While going for an evening walk to enjoy the Christmas lights that have been put up on the houses nearby, it reminded me of the Christmas magic that I used to feel as a child. Seeing lights of all colors and shapes, blow up characters, and Christmas decorations all made the night feel magical. There was even a section of houses that had made a Christmas light tunnel to walk under on the sidewalk; how cool is that!

Maybe it was the nostalgia, but it had me thinking about the different festivities that I love to enjoy this time of year. In no particular order, I have come up with 12 warm and cozy festivities that can bring you comfort and joy for the holiday season.
