The Good, The Bad, and The Healthy

Okay, so here I go again talking about how easy and difficult it can be living a healthy lifestyle. Everyone has a different experience and level of difficulty in the beginning and throughout their journey. This makes sense because working to change everyday habits can be very challenging, depending on how much one wants to change in the first place. What may seem difficult now gets easier over time thanks to practice and consistency. So, if you are in the need of motivation then look no further! (Unless you are not getting anything from this post, you do not have to keep reading.) If I have piqued your interest, check out what I mean when talking about the good, the bad, and the healthy of healthy living.

The Good

The great thing about living a healthful life is you can live your life to the fullest with the healthy habits you have under you belt. As you progress over time you may notice that you feel great, are more energized, can do more than you originally thought, are sleeping better, and feel confident in yourself. You find that with time and practice your new way of healthy living becomes easier: easier to manage and accomplish. Most importantly your mindset has improved too!

At the end of the day, it is all about mindset. I do not know about you, but most of the time my mindset predetermines how anything is going down. When I am not feeling 100%, tasks feel more difficult than they are; or when I am feeling on top of things, I find my productivity skyrockets for everything. Mindset must be the most important factor when it comes to overall health. Combined with time and practice, you will be able to accomplish your fitness goals.

The Bad

The “bad” part of working to be healthier is there are difficult days. And that is not saying that they are bad (I am just keeping theme with my catchy title), but those days can be very frustrating and difficult. Sometimes you have days where you do not want to, you may not find the motivation to exercise or eat better, or you look in the mirror and you just cannot see your hard work. Me included, everyone has those days.

First and foremost, know that everything is going to be okay. Even if it feels like you are in a bit of a rock and a hard place, what you do about it and how you treat yourself is what is important. I can promise you that it is not the end of the world. Besides, it is just one day on your very large journey. Remember to treat yourself kindly because you are doing your best with what you know and have. As you learn more and get stronger, it will get better.

The Healthy

With both the good and the “bad” there is the healthy. That would be the drive to get back up and keep going. Coupled with the tools you have learned and practiced, to have the discipline to work towards yourself in a healthful manner is powerful. In doing so, you are taking charge of your health, your fitness, and your life.
