It Has Been A While

Hi, Hello. It has been a hot minute since I last posted here. A lot has gone on and I feel that I am in a place where I can revisit my attention to Bits of Fitness. I am refreshed and have a new vision for this blog.

The spark notes of what has happened for me: I graduated college in May, decided to begin studying to become a personal trainer, and earned my ACE Personal Trainer Certificate in August. Along with these major accomplishments I have buckled down my attention and focus on my health (i.e, nutrition, fitness, mental health, and sleep) and have seen many positive changes in myself. For instance, I have become more focused on strength training and have seen such an improvement with strength physically, mentally, and emotionally.

As important as nutrition is for health, I had fallen into an effortless cycle that neglected all of the other components of fitness on this website. I am still very focused on wanting to understand health from a scientific perspective, however, I was not addressing everything that I am passionate about when it comes to health. Habits, choices, and behaviors can have such a powerful and positive impact on day-to-day life. I had separated myself too much from my website to even be able to successfully discuss such topics.

Therefore, I am rearranging a few things (as you may have noticed). I am more knowledgeable now from personal experience and personal research than I was before. Do not worry, all of my previous posts can still be seen under Blog or the Post Archive. Also, now that I am finished with school, I am so hungry for knowledge and understanding about health and I want to be able to share that with as many people as I can.

A sneak preview of some of the changes that I am making: monthly favorite posts, recommended products, review and discussion of books I have read, and even more discussion on health and lifestyle! I look forward to connecting with all of you in the future as I continue on this journey.

A side note: Fall is just around the corner for North America and I am so excited for the colder weather! Comfy clothes and warm beverages are such a mood! I even am going to try out bone broth for the coming colder months. Super excited!
